# Conditions

> Control when a ShipWeaver rule applies using cart, address, customer, product, and delivery-option fields.

Conditions control when a rule applies. Combine them in groups with AND/OR.

The same fields in the rule editor. This rule requires cart subtotal under \$50 and fewer than 3 items.

When you create a rule you choose a condition set:

* **Standard** - address, cart, product tags, collections, variant SKU or title, and delivery option data
* **Cart and line attributes** - cart attributes such as gift wrap, and line item attributes

Filter the rule list by action type and condition fields such as cart total, country, or ZIP.

## Cart

| Condition | What it matches | Example |
| - | - | - |
| Cart subtotal | Line item prices before discounts, taxes, or shipping | Subtotal greater than \$50, then free shipping only |
| Cart total | Merchandise total after discounts, before taxes and shipping | Total at least \$100, then hide Express |
| Cart item count | Total items in the cart | 5 or more items, then show bulk shipping |
| Cart currency | 3-letter ISO currency | Currency is USD, then apply domestic rules |
| Quantity per line | Any line with a specific quantity | Any line quantity of 10 or more, then hide pickup |

## Destination

| Condition | What it matches | Example |
| - | - | - |
| Country | 2-letter ISO country | Country is US, then hide international methods |
| State / province | State or province code | State is CA, NY, or TX, then prioritize Express |
| ZIP / postal code | ZIP or postal code | ZIP is not 10001, 10002, or 10003, then hide local pickup |
| Address type | PO Box, military, diplomatic, or regular, from address line 1 | Address type is PO Box, then hide Standard and Ground |

## Customer

| Condition | What it matches | Example |

| Customer is logged in | Signed-in vs guest | Logged in, then show member-only shipping |
| Customer email | Email from the cart or account | [wholesale@example.com](mailto:wholesale@example.com), then show B2B options |

## Delivery option

| Condition | What it matches | Example |
| - | - | - |
| Delivery option cost | Cost of the option in dollars | Option cost greater than \$20, then hide premium on small orders |
| Delivery option title | Name of the option | Title contains Express, then rename to Fast shipping |

## Products

| Condition | What it matches | Example |
| - | - | - |
| Cart contains product | Shopify Product GID | Specific bulky product, then hide pickup |
| Cart contains variant | Shopify ProductVariant GID | Hazmat variant, then restrict methods |
| Product has tag | Any specified product tag | Tag `hazardous`, then hide certain methods |
| Product in collection | Collection GIDs | Frozen collection, then require expedited shipping |
| Variant SKU | Variant SKU | SKU LARGE-001, then hide flat-rate envelope |
| Variant title | Variant title such as size or color | Title contains Oversized, then hide standard shipping |

## Cart and line attributes

Available on Cart and line attributes rules.

| Condition | What it matches | Example |
| - | - | - |
| Cart attribute | Cart-level attribute such as gift wrap | `gift_wrap` equals yes, then require expedited shipping |
| Line item attribute | Any line with a given attribute value | Notes contain Fragile, then hide economy |
