# Quickstart

> Install ShipWeaver, create a rule from a template, test it in Preview, then publish it to Shopify checkout.

Get a working checkout rule in a few minutes.

**1. Install the app**

Install ShipWeaver from the [Shopify App Store](https://apps.shopify.com/shipweaver) and open it from Shopify Admin.

**2. Create a rule**

On Shipping rules, choose what you want to do, or click **Create rule**. Start from a [template](https://docs.shipweaver.app/templates.md) if you have a common case.

The dashboard lists existing rules and the five jobs you can start from.

**3. Set testers**

Open Preview testers. Add your checkout email, or tag a test customer with `shipweaver`.

Preview rules only change shipping for testers.

**4. Save as Preview and check out**

Keep the rule in Preview. Open your store checkout as the tester and confirm the shipping list.

**5. Set to Live**

When the list looks right, set the rule to Live and save. Regular customers then see the change.

> You now have a Live rule. Add more rules one at a time, and keep Preview on anything that hides methods.

## If nothing changes at checkout

1. Confirm the rule is Live or that you are checking out as a Preview tester
2. Confirm conditions match the cart and destination
3. Confirm rule priority if several rules target the same method
4. Sync rules from the app
